Definition of Application Letter
Also known as a cover letter, an application letter is a summary of your strongest and most relevant skills and abilities that will be expanded in your resume or selection criteria. It introduces you to potential employers and highlights your suitability for the position you are applying for

To express your interest in attending an institution or receiving a position. it showcases your abilities and strenghts, and illustrates your experience

A specific start, explain yourself, acknowledge employer's preference, request contact, professional presentation.
Generic Structures of Application Letter
1. Introduction
Why are you writing? Because you have recently graduated and this company or position appeals to you. The first paragraph should refer to the job for which you are applying and how you heard about it.
2. Motivation
Explain why you want this job, with this particular company, and why you are the best candidate. This is the most important part of the letter, with which you wish to attract attention.
3. Requirements
The job advertisement probably lists a number of requirements. State clearly how you meet those requirements. If possible, give concrete examples.
4. Conclusion
Your final sentence should be to the effect that you will be pleased to provide further information in person. Finally, add your signature with your name underneath.
